The NH Mares November Sale at Tattersalls had a very poor clearance rate of just 34%. The average price for mares was €21,125 and just €2,767 for older horses.
 

  • J’y Vole was bought by Michael Moore of Ballincurrig House Stud for €120,000. The Willie Mullins’ Closutton Stables inmate was a winner of 8 races including the Gr.1 Dr P J Moriarty Novice Chase at Leopardstown. She also won at Gr.2 level and also had 4 Gr.1 placings. She was bought for English owner-breeder Paul Murphy, most know for owning the high class mare Carole’s Legacy.
  • Paul Thorman of Trickledown Stud bought Katmai who is a very well bred winner for €115,000. She is a daughter of Bob Back who won a bumper and is in foal to Presenting. She is also a half sister to Best Mate, who won the Gr.1 Cheltenham Gold Cup 3 times, and Cornish Rebel, who won the Gr.1 Challow Hurdle, as well as ill-fated Inexorable who was a dual Gr.3 winner. She was sold by Baroda & Colbinstown Studs.
  • High class mare Pomme Tiepy was sold privately by Willie Mullins Closutton Stables to Acorn Bloodstock for €80,000. The daughter of Apple Tree won two Gr.2 novice chases and is in foal to King’s Theatre.
  • Hollygrove Stud from Co Westmeath paid €50,000 for Senorita Rumbalita. The daughter of Alflora was a Gr.2-winning hurdler has had two foals already and is in foal to Kalanisi.
  • Paddy Doyle’s Slaney River Stud bought the racemare Shuil Aris from Coolamurry Stud for €46,000. Jimmy Mangan tried to get her but had to give way to Doyle in the end. The two time Gr.3 runner-up hurdler, who was Gr.2 placed over fences, is currently in foal to Oscar.
  • Asigh Pearl was sold to Michael Dickinson for €44,000. She won a Gr.3 handicap hurdle for Noel Meade last season and is covered by Presenting.
  • The Limefield Stud consigned mare Shanroose was sold to Jim McGee for €36,000. She is a winning Rock Of Gibraltar mare and is a half-brother to the Gr.3 Coral Cup winner Carlito Brigante and is also related to the Gr.2 winner over fences, Peak Raider.
  • Eddie Harty bought the Listed-placed hurdler Labeille for an existing client for €25,000 from Gerry Mullins. She won 6 times in France over fences and is a half-sister to Shot From The Hip, who was a 4 time winner including in a Gr.1 hurdle and was also placed in the Gr.1 Deloitte Novice Hurdle last season.
